Derwent Landings.

Derwentwater is my favourite lake, mainly because I visit it most often and the view from the end of the path through the woods from Keswick is one of the most amazing sights in Lakeland. When I go to the Lake District I always stop in Keswick, in a B&B close to the lake, and always wake up early(very early) to walk the path from Town to the John Ruskin memorial at Friars Crag on Derwentwater and just sit on the bench there, alone and humbled to be a speck in this fantastic panorama. The old landings are not far past the newer ones at the beginning of the walk. In the background is Catbells fell, take the ferry across and explore.
