| The cooling tower is a work of art as far as I'm concerned, an engineering wonder. If you get the chance, try standing at it's base and look up, I get the feeling of it toppling over and find it hard to keep still, especially when the clouds are flying by across it's rim and the sound of water is cascading around the base. This is one of eight at Ferrybridge power station, and you can get quite close from the road side. |
